Express the emoticon-way!

On skype, my friend pings me. No hi, it was an ‘angry’ emoticon. Of course, I forgot to wish her on her birthday. I now call her and she disconnects. Another emoticon ‘speechless’ comes in. This went on for some time with more and more icons when she finally sends a ‘wink ‘and says “That’s okay, I was just pulling your leg”. I now send her a ‘relieved’ for which she sends a ‘giggle’. So that’s how an angry emoticon turned to a giggle.
I love these emoticons. Especially the ‘giggle’  on skype, it’s damn cute for what it does. What I like about them, they make even the worst of a feeling appear cute. Like, the ‘envy’ , ‘angry’, ‘devil’ and that ‘evil grin’, they are adorable. Adorable, for they convey how you feel in a nice way.
Alright. Go ahead then, express the emoticon-way. Envy someone? Say it .For heaven’s sake, say it. An expression of praise or a word of appreciation, is that how you only express? What about the ugly expressions? Why is an ‘envy’ not as cool as a ‘smiley’?
Choose your emoticons well. Don’t use a ‘smiley’ when it’s an ‘angry’  instead. Wait until an ‘angry’ turns to a ‘smiley’  or even better a ‘giggle’.
To those who are holding onto the wrong emoticon for years, its time you change it. It’s time you make these ugly feelings appear cool. It’s time you express the emoticon-way :D
