How small is your world?

This has been bothering me for a while now. I made friends, I make friends , I don’t know my friends, not sure how well they know me, I fail to keep in touch, I’m not sure who my best friend is, not sure who considers me one and guess what?, I have ‘many’ friends but committed to a very few or maybe none. I have had friends who give me this awkward feeling whenever I meet them. It’s weird when two friends meet after a long time and they don’t know what to say. It’s even worse when you meet your friends every other day and you fail to connect. And yet, you also have friends who make you feel like you belong with them.
Who are these ‘friends’ whom you call ‘friends’? Why is the number getting so huge? I want my world to be small. I want to care, to be cared and when I say that, I mean genuinely and not for the heck of it. So the next time you casually ask someone “Can we be friends?” make sure you know you’re adding someone to your already existing world of friends.
Disconnect from the ones who bother you (No, I don’t mean to judge them). It’s just that there will always be people who no matter how good or bad, will bother you. Stay away. Let them go. You connect with the ones who keep you happy. Stay committed. Never lose them. Keep your world small J
